Grewia asiatica, commonly known as Phalsa, is a hardy, fast-growing fruiting shrub or small tree native to the Indian subcontinent. It produces clusters of small purple berries with a sweet-tart flavor, widely enjoyed fresh and in juices, sherbets, and desserts. The plant is drought-tolerant, easy to grow, and highly productive in warm climates.
