Musa thomsonii
Common Names: Thomson's Banana, Thomson's Wild Banana

Short Description:
Musa thomsonii is a rare wild banana native to the Eastern Himalayas and northeastern India. It is prized for its lush tropical foliage, graceful arching leaves, and ornamental value. Germination Tips:

  • Soak seeds in warm water for 24–48 hours before sowing.
  • Sow 1–2 cm deep in a well-draining, sterile seed-starting mix.
  • Maintain a warm temperature of 25–30°C with high humidity.
  • Keep the medium consistently moist but not waterlogged.
  • Germination is slow and irregular, usually taking 1–6 months, and some seeds may sprout even later.
  • Fresh seeds provide the best germination results, and bottom heat can improve success.
