It is known for its spreading canopy, fragrant greenish-white flowers, and twisted pods containing sweet, edible white to pink pulp surrounding shiny black seeds. The tree is valued for shade, ornamental planting, edible fruits, and its ability to thrive in poor, dry soils.

    Germination Tips:
    Soak seeds in warm water for 12–24 hours before sowing to soften the seed coat. Sow seeds 1–2 cm deep in a well-draining seed-starting mix and keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Maintain temperatures of 25–30°C (77–86°F) for best results. Seeds usually germinate within 1–3 weeks under warm conditions.
