    Product Description

    Sponge Gourd (Luffa cylindrica), also known as Loofah or Luffa, is a fast-growing climbing vine that produces long green fruits. Young fruits are harvested as a nutritious vegetable, while mature fruits can be dried and used as natural sponges. It thrives in warm climates and is highly productive throughout the growing season. Common name is Egyptian Cucumber.

    Germination Tips

    • Soak seeds in warm water for 12–24 hours before sowing.
    • Sow seeds 1.5–2 cm (½–¾ inch) deep in well-drained soil.
    • Maintain a soil temperature of 25–35°C (77–95°F).
    • Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.
    • Seeds usually germinate in 7–14 days.
    • Provide a trellis or support for vigorous vine growth.
